Scott Lock is entering his 5th season as an Assistant Coach of the Cranbrook’s Varsity Hockey Team.
Prior to joining CK, Scott was Head Coach of Grosse Pointe North for 15 years. During his tenure at the Norsemen the team achieved the following
- Division II State Championships - 2001, 2002
- Regional Championship s- 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012
- Division I/II Final Four - 2001, 2002, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012
- MHSAA Division II Coach of the Year - 2000, 2001, 2002
- MHSAA Coach of the year in Division II three times, 2000, 2001 and 2002
- Overall record - 270 wins, 118 losses, 22 ties
Scott had previous scouting experience as a Regional Scout for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the United States Hockey League (USHL) and the Odessa Jackalopes in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He also had experience with two other teams in the USHL: Green Bay Gamblers and Omaha Lancers. As a scout for the Sioux Falls Stampede in the USHL, he assisted in recruiting the team that ultimately captured the Anderson cup in 2006 and Clark Cup Championship in 2007. Scott also assists in the development and promotion of high school hockey in the state for the Michigan Development Hockey League (MDHL).
His competitive hockey career spanned 20+ years. Highlights of his career include 3 years at Detroit Catholic Central (All State), two years of Junior “A” hockey with the Lakeland Jets in the North American League, being drafted into the USHL by the Sioux City Musketeers and one year of college hockey, as a recruited walk-on at Michigan State University, CCHA.
Scott is the Director of Operations for National Management Systems/ GFL USA and he and his wife Kristi live with their sons, Gavin and Nolan in Plymouth, MI.
